Growlbook v1.0 (Beta)

Growlbook notifies you whenever anything happens on Facebook via “Growl For Windows”.
Growlbook v1.0
These notifications are presently supported:
- Friend Requests
- Pokes
- Messages
- Event Invites
- Group Invites
- New stream posts
What’s still in the works:
- Comments on relatable posts
- More depending upon requests from users or if I find something that is missing…
Security:
There are two methods to login:
- Enter your credentials in and Growlbook will auto login for you when ran (your credentials are saved and encrypted)
- Use Facebooks login form (your credentials are not saved)
Note: Even though your credentials are saved using the first method, I have taken some steps to encrypt them. It’s not perfect though, so if you’re worried, just don’t enter them in.

Haven’t actually used the app yet, but thought you should know that it looks like it was compiled with AnyCPU. I’m on x64 and it crashes on startup. In the .NET binaries folder is corflags.exe, that can be run as ‘corflags.exe Growlbook.exe /32BIT+’ and then the app will execute.

When I use this on XP with growl it seems to continually crash growl. I also have the skype growl client running, google reader, google voice and firefox extension. when i turn off the facebook it stops crashing. just letting you know what i found but not how i fixed it. thanks for your time in putting this together.

Growlbook will run for a while just fine, but at random points it stops w/ the error, “Growl is not running.” It is running & my other notification clients work normally. Any ideas on this one?

I get the same issue as @antifaith – after a few minutes, it turns red and says that growl is not running (but it is).
