Right now it does not work with proxy servers…will you add support for it?

Most definitely, I’ll add both proxy support and username/password support for authenticated growl connections.

Just want to say how excited I am for this app. Thanks for taking the time to develop it. I downloaded version 1 and it cant login. Any ideas?

Have you added the Facebook application, Growl Notifier? When logging in via the Facebook window (not typing in your credentials in to Growlbook) it should ask if you would like to install it.
That’s my only idea right now – which I’m glad you brought it up because I will need to fix that for the next release.

Thanks for the reply. I checked in Facebook and the Growl notifier is added. I will keep trying.

Update: dumb mistake on my part. I thought I had copied all the files into a GrowlBook folder on my desktop but I left one out. Now I am able to login. Thanks and I am really looking forward to the next version.

Hello Austin,
First off, I wanted to let you know that your application is simple, has a clean interface, and just works!
I only run into one problem–when it offers an update and I say “yes”, is asks if I want to download the newer version. I say “yes”, I get this error(these are the details of the unexpected error):
